The recruitment process at Blossom Heights meticulously adheres to the guidelines, legislation, and recommendations stipulated within the Children Act (2004), Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act (2006), Safeguarding and Safer Recruitment in Education, the Munro Review of Child Protection (2011), Recruiting Safely Guidance (2011), Lost in Care: Leaning the Lessons (2000), and the Bichard Inquiry (2004). Before they commence their roles in our care homes and services, every staff member undergoes stringent vetting. This vetting encompasses Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) assessments, thorough reference checks, telephonic verifications, and an exhaustive scrutiny of their employment trajectory. Furthermore, we equip all our staff with extensive safeguarding training tailored to their specific roles. Such training ensures they're adept at discerning potential signs of abuse, standing by children and young individuals reporting maltreatment, and taking proactive measures to avert any form of abuse.
